Silver Aluminum Collection
Formed of a unique alloy developed by Lunares, each piece is sand cast and highly polished giving our signature shapes a sensuous quality and unique luster. Extremely friendly in use, the metal does not chip, peel, crack, or break, and it will not tarnish unless exposed to chemical detergents or acids for extended periods of time. It is food safe, durable, and easy to maintain. Since all pieces are handmade, imperfections on the highly polished surface are a familiar characteristic.
- First thoroughly wash your piece with mild dish soap and water, and towel dry.
- Do not use abrasives or clean in automatic dishwashers as that will affect its luster.
- As with any metal, Lunares items will scratch if not handled properly.
- Food should be removed soon after serving. As with any metal, leaving food for extended periods may result in discoloration – especially highly acidic or salty foods such as salad dressings, vinegars, tomatoes, or other fruits.
- If using Lunares containers for fresh flowers, coat the inside of the piece with heavy household shortening to protect the surface from chemicals in the soil and water.Oven safe up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Note: these items are engravable. We don't offer engraving as a service, but we have many customers who have ordered frames, platters, etc., and had them engraved for special occasions. It makes a great gift option.

Chocolate, Gold or Black Nickel Finish
Our exclusive colored alloys combine the sensuousness of our signature style with a range of unique, lustrous finishes. Since all pieces are handmade, imperfections on the finish are a familiar characteristic.
- The colored alloy finishes are a decorative finish and they will scratch if not handled properly.
- Do not wash or use abrasives. Wipe fingerprint smudges with a soft dry cloth.
- May be used to serve fruits, bread, nuts and other dry foods.

Fade to White Collection
Our Fade to White finish is a new, special finish developed by Lunares. Made with a porcelain enamel over an aluminum alloy base, these items offer the visual beauty and feel of porcelain but are much more durable.
- Hand wash your piece with mild dish soap and water, and towel dry.
- Do not use abrasives or clean in automatic dishwashers.
- This is a food-safe finish, and serving dishes may be used to serve a wide range of foods.

Bone Collection
Our bone items are made with genuine, naturally harvested camel bone. They offer the beauty of ivory with none of the guilt as no animals are harmed or killed for the bone. Because of the nature of the material, colorations may vary with different shades of ivory.

Buffalo Horn & Mombassa Collections
The horn used in all of our horn items is Buffalo Horn. Needless to say, it is harvested naturally and no buffaloes are killed for it. Because of the nature of the material, colorations may vary (generally from tan to dark brown) and sizes are approximate. Pieces may come with small indentations or other individual markings that may be perceived as imperfections but are really not. We think they add to the natural beauty and elegance of these products.

What does "naturally harvested" mean?
Our bone and horn items are all manufactured in India, and cows and buffalos are considered sacred animals in Hindu cultures and are not killed for their meat or other products. However, there are cows/buffalos all over India that are raised for milk, and eventually those cows die of natural causes. At that point the horns are collected and used for manufacturing the horn products. A similar approach is used for our bone products, which are made from camel bone. The bone is collected from camels who have died of natural causes – a way of not letting the material go to waste, but without harming the animal during its natural lifetime.

Marbella Shell Collection
Our shell items are made with the highest quality mother-of-pearl. Shells are carefully sorted and processed by hand to create the finishing pieces for our Marbella shell products.

The wood items in our collection are made using Shisham wood, a renewable Indian hardwood. Each piece is sanded and finished by hand to create the highest quality product.

Gold Home Décor Items
Our gold home décor items, including our Shanghai and Athena collections, are made with 24K gold plate on an aluminum alloy base. The finish on these items has a beautiful shine that can only be created with real gold, and our pure 24K gold plate has the unmistakable gleam of a true precious metal.

Textiles – for the Bedroom
Our sheet sets are made with 100% cotton, 300-thread count percale with hand-embroidered finishing elements for an elegant touch. Block print comforters, pillow shams and related items are made with 100% cotton. The velveteen quilts are reversed with luxurious silk. Our comforters are hand-quilted for superior loft using 100% cotton inside, and all are reversible and machine washable. Quilts should only be washed in cold water on gentle cycle.

Textiles – for the Table
Our table linen collection of oversized dinner napkins, placemats, runners and tablecloths is made using 100% natural cotton linen. The fine hemstitching is surrounded by broad boarders and offered in several colors, enabling never ending variations for setting the table. The simplicity of the design makes them beautiful and the 100% cotton linen makes them robust enough to machine wash and soft to the touch.
